When We Worship - AImee Owings
Nothing profound here, I love to sing. But when we share our voices to praise the One who holds it all together, a beautiful thing happens.
At Hope City, there is no question about worship involvement. Our people can sing and praise. Growing up I recall the lyrics;
I love You, Lord
And I lift my voice
To worship You
Oh, my soul rejoiceTake joy, my King
In what You hear
May it be a sweet
Sweet sound in Your ear
On Sundays and at our other gatherings, I trust God finds joy in hearing your voices – somehow even more than I do.
It’s been an honor to be part of this divine moment with you, joining together, surrendering our hands and hearts to King Jesus. Helping with the worship team forces me to focus on praise, on the artistic and music kind of worship, on the lyrics and promises our songs pull from scripture.
All this to say. Thank you for joining me in worship, for filling me with greater joy. Find this as an encouragement to praise and worship, to join with all of creation - thanking God for His steadfast, faithful, enduring presence.
Take care church,
Aimee Owings
