Our Church - Part 2

This is part 2 in Our Church story, in the coming weeks, we'll continue to dive deeper into how we are truly Better Together.

The legacy of our church is a beautiful one that God has been building upon for generations. Currently, our church meets in five locations across our city, and these “campuses” represent over 540 years of people on mission to know, love and follow Jesus. Each of these campuses are places filled with life, in all the messiest and best ways and each opens their doors wide to welcome in people wherever they are on their faith journey.

Each campus has a full staff to help serve and support ministry, including live teaching, worship, children, students, and adult ministries. Every community has unique needs, so every campus has unique roles to help meet those needs.

We have a central team that provides support to every campus and a senior leadership team that works together to discern God’s will and make decisions to serve our whole church. Each campus is served by a Lead Pastor who serves the ministry and staff of their campus.

We are served by one Elder Board to whom we submit for their protection, wisdom and governance.

We have a gifted paid staff team of 78 full and part-time people staff who are the most committed, generous, and talented folks ever to be assembled. These pastors and staff love to serve with those who call our church home and love to witness life transformation because of the Goodness of God.

Our model is a unique one, and it rests on a commitment to unity – along with a commitment to mutual submission. Ephesians 5 says we are to Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. We seek to live out our values in submission so that the Lord can create an undeniable kingdom impact through us.

Each campus helps finance partners who support local causes and outreach – and collectively, we have 22 international partners and missionaries who are dedicated to issues of poverty, biblical literacy, education, health care, and the spread of the gospel around the world. We dedicate over 10% of every dollar given to these efforts, representing over $550,000 in 2024 alone.

We are not attempting to become a huge church, but to ensure that as we grow, we can provide strength to each neighborhood-centric churches to actively serve the needs of each community that we’re in. We have the strength of working together across the city so that each of our communities can thrive. Thanks for your part in what God is continuing to build in our communities and in each of our lives.
