Opportunities to Serve - Brandy Knutson

Did you know that there are service opportunities in our city and local community? As often as possible, we try and gather groups of people who attend Hope City to help serve in other places around our community. Sometimes it's landscaping, serving a meal, or volunteering at local events put on by other organizations - just to lend a hand. For example, this coming Sunday a small team from Hope City is going to a nearby church that serves lunch to our houseless neighbors. Our students have served there recently as well!

If you would like to know when the next service project or opportunity is, you can register here. By registering, you're not committing to serve at all of the events or opportunities. You're adding yourself to an email list that will communicate future service opportunities and their details with you as they become available. By signing up to receive these emails, you'll be the first to know where the needs in our community are and how you might partner with us, and other organizations, to meet those needs if you're able.

One of the things that I appreciate most about the people at Hope City, is the willingness to jump in and lend a hand. Whether that hand is extended to a fellow attendee, neighbor, or others in the community, you're constantly finding ways to reach out to others. It is a large part of the culture that you have set, not just in our building, but everywhere you go. You honor the many examples that Jesus, and his disciples, give us about drawing close to the hurting, impoverished, orphaned, and widowed. When you say "yes" to serving, the impact can be seen all across our city, and we are grateful for that partnership in ministry with you.
