Week 4 - Daniel Knutson: "Loving Impact"

We are deeply convicted that everything we have has been entrusted to us by God, and we are accountable for how and for whom we leverage it.

This weeks text: John 5:19, John 13:34-35, John 15:12-17

John 5:19
“Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

John 13:34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another...

ἀγαπάω ([agapaō]) : to have a love for someone or something, based on sincere appreciation and high regard—‘to love, to regard with affection, loving concern, love’

John 13:34-35
...As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.”

John 15:12-13
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

John 15:12-17
My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruitfruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. This is my command: Love each other.
