AFC Kids Christmas Party

For several years, we’ve hosted a special Christmas dinner at Abernethy Center for adoptive and foster parents. We wanted to extend that same care to the children in their homes by creating the AFC Kids Christmas Event at Willamette, giving kids a special place to celebrate while their caregivers enjoy the dinner.

Through crafts, food, fun, and a North Pole shopping experience, our hope is to help kids feel celebrated while giving caregivers a few hours to rest and enjoy time together, knowing their kids are being loved and cared for.

It takes a whole village to make this happen. As we plan to celebrate over 100 kids this Christmas, we’re inviting people to say yes, give a few hours of their time, and be part of creating a special Christmas experience for these kids and the families who care for them.

AVAILABLE SERVING OPTIONS (select during registration):

• Advance Preparation – Small projects, sorting, staging, wrapping gifts, etc. (Scheduled at your leisure)
• Set-up/Decoration – 12:00 PM–3:00 PM
• Greet/Welcome/Check-in/Coat Check – 3:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Kid Hosts – Experience the event alongside the kids, guiding them and encouraging them throughout the evening's activities. (3:00 PM–8:00 PM)
• Activity Hosts – Help facilitate the North Pole Market, Crafts, Christmas Olympics, Inflatable Character, or Bounce House. (3:00 PM–8:00 PM)
• Clean-Up/Reset – 6:00 PM–8:00 PM
